Something quietly huge changed in Season 14: mythics no longer feel like museum pieces you stare at in your stash. PC players can jump in now, and anyone chasing Diablo 4 Items should notice the difference almost straight away during a proper farming session.
Crafted Mythics Can Finally Stack
The old one-crafted-mythic restriction has been removed. That little crafted stack counter still shows up, which is confusing at first, but it doesn't block anything anymore. If you've got the materials, you can wear a crafted Grandfather, Harlequin Crest, Melted Heart of Selig, and more at the same time.
That opens up builds people had written off months ago. Barbarians especially get a lot out of it, since Grandfather no longer forces you to give up another crafted defensive piece. The upgrade recipe is cheaper too, asking for four Pandemonium Fragments, so random uniques are suddenly worth checking before you salvage them.
What Players Are Actually Running
The Meta: Whirlwind Barb stacks Grandfather with Selig and pushes crit damage hard.
The Snag: Weapon aspects get displaced and careless gearing kills toughness.
The Fix: Put Crushing on a ring and keep War Cry rolling.
Reality check: More mythics won't fix a sloppy build, and bad tempers still ruin plenty of otherwise brilliant drops.
Where the Farming Shift Happened
The Corrupted Reaper is the obvious place to test the patch. Players who saw almost nothing after long runs are now reporting mythics within a handful of kills. RNG is still RNG, obviously, but the rate feels massively better rather than merely patched on paper.
| Corrupted Reaper | Much stronger mythic drop potential |
| Undercity tributes | More tribute drops and another target farm |
| Upgrade recipe | Four fragments for a slot based mythic chance |
Don't burn every resource tonight, though. Another update is due next week, with Superior Lair Keys joining the repeatable Glints of Hope cache and further Undercity tribute improvements. Keeping caches and mythic tribute keys unopened could pay off.
The Question Everyone Keeps Asking
A lot of players are asking whether console characters are locked out of these gains until crossplay returns.
Yep, for the moment. Console patching arrives July 17, then crossplay should come back once everyone is on the same version.
Spend Your Fragments With a Plan
Start by filling the slots that change your build, not by chasing a perfect collection screen. Grandfather is a serious first target for crit-heavy setups, while Selig can smooth out rough pushes. Save fragments, run Reaper repeatedly, and use the upgrade recipe before the rune-heavy target craft. If you do need extra runes, the best place to buy diablo 4 runes can help you finish a specific craft without wrecking your whole stash.
