The latest crossover in Monopoly GO! brings the colorful world of Hello Kitty and her friends into the game, and players have been pretty excited about it. The collaboration started on March 10 and runs until March 29, turning several of the game's familiar events into Sanrio-themed versions. Everything from the visuals to the collectibles now carries that soft pastel style associated with Sanrio, which gives the usual dice-rolling gameplay a much lighter, cuter atmosphere Monopoly Go Stickers.
The first big event in the crossover is the Hello Kitty Partners minigame. Similar to previous Partners events, players team up with up to four friends and work together to build themed attractions. After the Partners event wraps up, the collaboration continues with several other familiar modes but with Sanrio-themed twists. The Treasures event, often called the Dig event by players, features colorful excavation boards instead of the usual dusty crates. Racers events also appear during the crossover, with themed vehicles inspired by characters like Pompompurin and Kuromi. Another highlight is the Deluxe Drop event, where players drop tokens into prize boards that include cosmetics featuring characters such as Cinnamoroll, My Melody, and Keroppi.
Collectibles are a big part of the crossover. Players can earn themed stickers, shields, dice skins, and emojis that match the Sanrio characters. There's also a new Style Token feature that lets players customize their profile accessories. Anyone who has reached Board 5 or higher can participate fully in the events, so most active players should be able to join without much trouble.
Part of the reason the event has been so popular is that it fits well with the social side of Monopoly Go. The Partners event encourages players to coordinate with friends, which naturally leads to a lot of teamwork.
