U4GM Tips to farm Holten Vaal Temple divines fast in PoE2

If you have been skipping the new Path of Exile 2 league, you might not realise how wild the game's economy has become, and how hard the Fate of the Vaal system is being pushed by players using clever strats like fast rerolls and even poe2 power leveling to get into the sweet spot as quickly as possible.

Why Mapping Feels Like A Trap Now

Once you mess around with Fate of the Vaal for a bit, it starts to feel pretty rough in maps, and you quickly notice standard mapping just does not keep up any more.

Instead of slogging through a pile of juiced T16s for a single average temple, people are parking themselves in Act 6 Holten, because the interlude zone has Vaal packs spawning right next to the waypoint almost every time as long as your level stays under the cap.

The usual setup is simple but a bit grim: roll a new character, rush story, hit Holten, then keep your level below 74 by throwing deaths at Atziri or thick temple packs whenever your XP bar creeps too high, so you stay inside the farm window and keep those crystal runs under two minutes.

The Snake Method Temple Setup

Farming crystals is only half the story, because if you just slam random rooms, the temple looks flashy but pays out badly, so people lean hard on the so‑called Snake Method, drawing out a single winding path of rooms from the entrance instead of opening everything.

The idea here is to chain Spymaster rooms for medallions and stack Garrison rooms for effectiveness, putting more and more multipliers onto the same monster packs so that every pull in that path is overloaded with loot potential rather than spreading value thin across the whole layout.

Most players use an Atziri temple planner or editor to sketch out the route first, then make sure the final rooms in the chain are locked behind medallions so destabilisation has a much harder time nuking the best part of the run, which is what turns those snakes into the kind of layouts where mirrors, raw divines and high‑ilvl bases can actually drop in bunches.

Community Reactions And The Economy Shock

Old‑school players look at this whole thing and immediately think of Harbour Bridge and other busted farm spots from the first game, while newer players are watching crystal prices crash and feeling like they are being left behind by people printing currency at ridiculous speeds.

Because of the holiday timing, GGG has not stepped in yet, so the whole league is sitting in this odd place where it is clearly too strong, everyone knows it, and yet it is still live, which just encourages more people to park alts in Act 6 and ride the wave for as long as they can.

Deciding How You Want To Play

Not everyone wants to level a throwaway character, keep dying on purpose to control XP and run the same Act 6 zone on loop for hours, and if that kind of grind sounds miserable, no amount of divines per hour will suddenly make it fun, even if the numbers are insane right now.

Some players would rather focus on builds, bossing or just chilling through maps, and leave the hardcore optimisation to others, which is where sites like u4gm end up on people's radar as an option for those who would rather buy their currency and get back to actually experimenting with skills and content instead of living inside Holten forever.
